Lord, I have no “ask,” today. I have a feeling of thanksgiving for your presence in our lives. Gratitude is so important. I identify You as the Giver of Gifts. In that vein, I am happy for the colleagues I have, for the support of my board, for the performance of our organization. I give thanks for the moral compass of my colleagues, for their desire to help others.
I realize that many institutional shareholders check on the generosity and good citizenship of the organizations they hold. I am grateful that my colleagues do this naturally. Help us to continue to use our talents for each other, for our shareholders, for our customers, for our community. Above, let me give You thanks. I will utilize Psalm 66 to express my feelings.
Section 2, Scripture: Ps 66:16-20; Revelations 7:9-12
Hebrew Scripture | New Testament |
Come and hear, all you who fear God,
and I will tell what he has done for my soul. 17 I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue. 18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. 19 But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. 20 Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me! Psalm 6616-20 |
9 After this I had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands. 10 They cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation comes from* our God, who is seated on the throne,
and from the Lamb.” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They prostrated themselves before the throne, worshiped God, 12 and exclaimed: “Amen. Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power, and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Revelations 7:9-12 |
Section 3
You may wish to be silent for a few minutes.
Section 4
In your own words, in your own silence, speak to God.
